LET
THE RIVER FLOW! REMOVE THE BLOCKAGE! CLEAR OUT THE DEBRIS! BE YE CLEAN THAT
BEAR THE VESSELS OF THE LORD!
Afterward he brought me again unto the
door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of
the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and
the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south
side of the altar. Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and
led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh
eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side. And when the man
that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand
cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters
were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the
waters were to the loins. Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river
that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a
river that could not be passed over. And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou
seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the
river. Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many
trees on the one side and on the other. Then said he unto me, These waters issue
out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea:
which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. And it
shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever
the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of
fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and
every thing shall live whither the river cometh. And it shall come to pass,
that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall
be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds,
as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many. But the miry places thereof and
the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt. And by
the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all
trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be
consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their
waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for
meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine. Ezekiel 47:1-12 KJV
"And it shall come to pass, that every thing
that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall
live..."
"...and every thing shall live whither the
river cometh"
NOTE: The river
runs deep and the river is wide, but we'll never experience the river if we
remain on the bank.
The
river flows from the temple.
The
river brings healing wherever it flows.
The
river nourishes and brings forth life.
Jesus
spoke of His body as the temple.
Virtue
flowed from Jesus bringing healing and deliverance to those who got into His
flow.
The
church as a body is referred to as the temple of The Lord.
The
believer's body is referred to as the temple of The Lord.
What
flows from this temple?
Are
we satisfied with our present state of spirituality? Are we content with our
present position? Are we determined to remain in the routine rituals of our
religious road or are we longing to experience something more?
Jesus
revealed a profound and dynamic truth to a woman of dubious reputation. He is
no respecter of persons! God does not discriminate, as Peter made clear when he
responded to the call from Cornelius: Of a truth I
perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that
feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Acts 10:34-35 KJV
What
did Jesus reveal to the woman?
John 4:13-14 Jesus answered and said unto
her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever
drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that
I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting
life.
There
is much difference between religious ritualism and Jesus' relationship reality!
One
is temporal and the other is eternal.
One
is natural and the other is spiritual.
One
leaves you still in want and the other leaves you completely satisfied!
One
brings death and the other brings life!
NOTE: We either
become death merchants or life givers. To be a life giver we have to be
connected to the source of the life flow! Making all the right connections will
result in the right flow.
Jesus
made it clear that there is a phenomenal experience awaiting the believer when
Jesus is glorified!
In the last day, that great day of the
feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me,
and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his
belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit,
which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet
given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:37-39 KJV
Jesus
has been glorified and the Holy Spirit is here! And everywhere Jesus is
glorified the rivers of Holy Spirit are present and flowing!
NOTE: The river
flows when Jesus is glorified!
Focus
on the Lamb!
Worship
the Lamb!
Worthy
is the Lamb!
Let
Jesus be glorified!
NOTE: Before we
can get into the river there must first be a river
There is a river, the streams whereof
shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most
High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her,
and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his
voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our
refuge. Selah. Psalms 46:4-7 KJV
The
further we move in the river, the deeper it gets!
We
move until we can't touch bottom but must swim!
We
are no longer standing on our own two feet!
We
are now moving with the river as we swim!
It
matters not if you're unable to swim physically.
In
the river of God's worship you can swim with Him!
NOTE: Before we
can swim we must be willing to be swept off your feet!
Let
The Lord sweep us off our feet. Don't fight to maintain control! Don't try to
remain on your feet and be in charge of things.
NOTE: What we
look like outside does not define what we can be on the inside. God sees what
we are on the inside.
As
we move deeper into this river we will begin to see the miraculous.
As
we move deeper, we will encounter the realm of healing and miracles.
Some
sit on the bank, some toss pebbles and sticks into the river.
Some
do not wish to get their feet wet and so they follow from afar off.
Some
are content to take pictures of the river to post on their wall.
Some
are content to make comments about the river.
Some
are content to be bystanders and observe the river.
Some
criticize and condemn the river.
NOTE: To go with
the flow we have to get into the river. The river can't take us anywhere unless
we're in it!
Bartimaeus knew what
he needed and was determined to get into the River!
And
they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a
great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the
highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began
to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou
Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his
peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and
commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of
good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose,
and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I
should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my
sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And
immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Mark 10:46-52
KJV
Bartimaeus
had been sitting on the bank while the world passed by. he lived on what he
could get from those passing by. One day he sensed a difference in the crowd
passing by and inquired about it. He heard it was Jesus! he remembered what he
had heard about this Man, and realized the River was flowing by! Bartimaeus was
no longer content or satisfied to be living on the bank. He would not be denied
even by those who tried to shut him up!
he wanted to get into the river and made more noise. His noise attracted the
attention of Jesus above the noise of the crowd. Bartimaeus was summoned and he
cast away his garment as he obeyed the summons! Bartimaeus got right into the river
and went with the flow only now he was seeing. Before he had been blind and
stationary now he could see and move with the River!
NOTE: Fishes
live and move in living waters not in the Dead Sea!
The
Dead Sea is called dead because there is no life in it. The river from the temple
flows into the Dead Sea and causes it to come alive!
NOTE: The
prophetic flow only operates in the river of life. When we are moving along in
the river we will find ourselves in the prophetic flow!
NOTE: Without
the presence of the river there is no flow and therefore no prophetic ministry!
The
prophetic flow accomplishes wonderful things for God and His people.
The
people profit and God is glorified!
But if all prophesy, and there come in one
that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of
all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down
on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. How
is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm,
hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let
all things be done unto edifying. 1 Corinthians 14:24-26 KJV
It's
difficult moving on our own effort along the bank. It is a physical struggle
and effort of self to travel any distance. But when we get into the river, we
can get to the point where we're carried along. Our feet no longer touches the
ground, but we move with the flow! It's important to find that point where
we're able to move with the flow. How effortless worship now becomes! How
exhilarating and energizing!
We
have to stop depending on our efforts and start casting our cares on Him! We have
probe until we find water. We then test the waters and move into the stream. We
follow the flow until we are in swimming depth. We know we have that well of
water within us springing up into everlasting life because we have believed on
Him! We have to focus on that well and pump that water up until it overflows.
As we all overflow in combined worship the river is formed and we can get into
its flow!
In
the magnificent revelation at the end of our Bibles we read of a river
startling in similarity to Ezekiel's river!
And he shewed me a pure river of water
of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there
the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit
every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall
be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and
his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and
they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them
light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. And he said unto me, These
sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his
angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold,
I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this
book. Revelation 22:1-7 KJV
The
Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple. The throne of God and the Lamb
is the focal points. The river of the water of life flows from the throne! The river flows from authority and power! It
is capable of accomplishing marvelous things!
If
we do not experience hunger we will not appreciate the need for food. When we
nibble or gorge on junk food we find it difficult to appreciate the value of
real food. Hunger for real food is almost nonexistent and we can actually
starve in the midst of plenty. Our
spiritual lives can become saturated with so much worldly junk that we find it
difficult to appreciate, much less assimilate the things of the Spirit.
For
so long we have been content to stand by the river or sit on the bank. We have
condescended to dip our fingers into the waters or dip our feet into it. We
have sat there allowing the waters to flow over our feet but we were going
nowhere. The only way we are going to get anywhere is to get into the stream
and the flow. We have to move into the stream to the point where we are lifted
up and borne by the current wherever it will take us. The further on we go the
deeper it flows. Until it brings us to where the life manifests and the healing
grows and the fish is abundant, and the dead becomes alive. Are we content to
just remain in our safe little corner Sunday after Sunday, week after week, day
after day, occupying the same spot, in our own little world, in control of our
selves, refusing to be moved by the Spirit of God, dry day after safe little
dry day? Or are we prepared to get wet?
Be
there! Be expectant! Be prepared for His presence! Sometimes like Thomas we can
miss it! We can miss Him simply because we were busy elsewhere and otherwise
engaged! We never know when He will show up. We have to live in anticipation
and expectation of Him. We have to be there! We have to make up our minds to
wait on Him!
Then the same day at evening, being the
first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were
assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith
unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his
hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then
said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so
send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto
them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted
unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. But Thomas, one
of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other
disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto
them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger
into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not
believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with
them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said,
Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold
my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not
faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my
God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast
believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John
20:19-29 KJV
Come, and let us return unto the LORD:
for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we
shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:
his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the
rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. Hosea 6:1-3 KJV
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap
in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he
come and rain righteousness upon you. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped
iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way,
in the multitude of thy mighty men. Hosea 10:12-13 KJV
