God, who at sundry times and in divers
manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by
his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all
things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and
the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his
power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of
the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:1-3 KJV
The
Son is referred to as the Word! A word is the expression of a thought in the
mind of an individual. When I express my thoughts in words you then know what I
thought!
The
prophets spoke of the promise. Jesus is the Promise.
The
prophets spoke the word. Jesus is the Word!
In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with
God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light
shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5 KJV
What
are God's thoughts toward us? Can we understand them? Concerning His thoughts
God said, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither
are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the
earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your
thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV
For I know the thoughts that I think
toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an
expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and
I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall
search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13 KJV
Inspired
by the Holy Spirit, the psalmist sang,
How precious also are thy thoughts unto
me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more
in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Psalms 139:17-18
KJV
O LORD, how great are thy works! and
thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool
understand this. Psalms 92:5-6 KJV
Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful
works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot
be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they
are more than can be numbered. Psalms 40:5 KJV
Because
of the inability of man to understand the thoughts of God, God spoke His
thoughts to us in the form of His Son!
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt
among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 KJV
Jesus
is The Word made flesh! That which is Spirit was manifested in the flesh! And without
controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed
on in the world, received up into glory.
1 Timothy 3:16 KJV
His
appearance and actions reveal the express image of the Father. Jesus told Phillip, "He that hath seen
me hath seen the Father!" Philip saith
unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him,
Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he
that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the
Father? John 14:8-9 KJV
All
before Him were mere shadows. All after Him will be but reflections. He's The Substance!
He casts the shadows. He is also The Light that creates the shadows, and
produces the reflections. He's the Substance, the Solid Rock that radiates The
Light. .
He's
the radiance of the glory. Father's glory streams and radiates forth through
Him! We have moved from mere shadows, glorious though they were, into the
Awesome Reality of The Light that casts the shadows!
He was in the world, and the world was
made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own
received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John
1:10-13 KJV
This
is not something you can inherit from your parents by birth!
It's
not something that you can make yourself into! There's no self made man in
God's kingdom! It's not something that you can be inducted into by some group,
party or society!
This
thing comes directly from God! Not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor
of the will of man, but of God!
On
the mountain with Peter James and John, the Father Himself established the
Superiority of the Son over Moses and Elijah, the leaders of the shadows...when
He said, "HEAR HIM! While he yet
spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the
cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye
him. Matthew 17:5 KJV
Therefore
to see the Father we should behold Jesus. To hear the Father we should hear
Jesus! To behold Jesus we need to draw near, and remain in His Presence, rather
than standing at a distance, and following afar off.
How
does the Son speak to us? By His very Person and Presence since He is the
Living Word. To "hear Him" as the Father instructed Peter, James and John,
we need to meditate in His Word and let it dwell in us richly. His Spirit draws
us closer to Him with the truth!
Everything
belongs to Him Who is the Heir of all things! Father made everything by Him!
Father made everything for Him!
He
is The Word...the Final Word! The Absolute Word! The Perfect Word! When we see
Jesus we see the Word of God! The Word from the Father does not lie, for His
Word is truth!
The
Word does whatever the Father does! What did Jesus do? He did what he said,
when He said, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he
hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight
to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable
year of the Lord. Luke 4:18-19 KJV
He
did what He said! He brought:
1.
Good news
2.
Healing
3.
Deliverance
4.
Sight/vision/revelation
5.
Liberty
6.
Acceptance!
We
are made acceptable to the Father! Mortal man can live in the Presence of the
Immortal God! How is this possible?
It
all came at a cost! His Blood! That Precious Blood of Jesus was shed and placed
on account, deposited for all who will come to Him and accept what He did! Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with
corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by
tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a
lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the
foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 1 Peter
1:18-20 KJV
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were
far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13 NKJV
This
offer is only available while life lasts on earth, but the benefits are forever,
and out of this world! This offer will not come after this life. This life will
not last forever, but His Life will! Ignoring and neglecting this great
salvation has serious, irreversible consequences. And you would have brought it
upon yourself, because you were indifferent to, or denied the gracious offer
from Almighty God!
It was God [personally present] in
Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting
up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and
committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor). 2
Corinthians 5:19 AMP
Now
is the acceptable time! Now is salvation present. He was manifested for this
purpose, to destroy the works of the devil and He did that well! He opened the
door of Heaven to us! He is the Door. We enter through Him!
Today
I present that Word to you, the Word of faith which you have heard, the word of
salvation, the Word that is near you even now! That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 KJV
The
Son did it ALL by Himself! He needed no one else, but by Himself purged our
sins
He
sat down after accomplishing His Work! Elsewhere it is noted … every priest standeth daily ministering and
offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But
this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down
on the right hand of God; Hebrews 10:11-12 KJV
When
on Calvary He cried It is Finished, it was a cry of victory! It was a cry of
completion! It was a cry that shouted "Paid In Full! It was a cry that
announced the open access to the Father through His Blood! For at that moment
the veil in the temple was torn! Rented in two from top to bottom! And that
which was accessible only once yearly, and only by the high priest, was now
accessible to all who will come to God by Him! Only now we have access to that
which is infinitely superior to the shadow! We have access into the heavenly,
right before the Father!
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the
unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will
have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah
55:6-7 KJV
The counsel of the LORD standeth for
ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose
God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Psalms 33:11-12 KJV
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow
from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it
bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the
eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall
prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:10-11 KJV
HIS WORD WILL
