HELLO THIS IS YOUR CREATOR SPEAKING! CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Isaiah 53:1-3 KJV

THE MEDIUM OF COMMUNICATION

We are surrounded by the invisible!
Look around you. What do you see? We can see and identify lots of things! There may be other things out of sight but we can uncover them! There are some things however that are hidden in plain sight! Well they are not really hidden! Because we do not see them does not mean they do not exist! It's just that we are normally unable to see or access them! However with the right circumstances and equipment we have no problem in bringing them into the realm of the natural senses! Some of these unseen things are known as waves. We're surrounded by waves of all kinds. We are unable to access them unless we have the appropriate equipment which is plugged in! A radio system has two parts: The transmitter and the receiver.
The transmitter takes the message, whether sound, voice or picture and converts it to a modulated sine wave which is sent out in the form of radio waves. The receiver takes this wave and decodes the data to receive the message. This is a very simple explanation for how radio, TV, GPS, cell phone, baby monitors, etc works.

In similar manner we are surrounded by an invisible world that is only perceived by spiritual senses. In like manner we are surrounded by Him in whom we have our being! The waves of God are all around us. The waves of His power. The waves of His blessing. The waves of His mercy. The waves of His grace. The waves of His healing. It’s just that we are unable to connect and communicate unless we have the right equipment and conditions.

Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:22-31 KJV

The Waves of God flow when we are plugged into God, turned on to God and tuned in to God!
We cannot plug in any old thing. We have to plug in the appropriate equipment.

THE METHOD OF COMMUNICATION

Tuning in to God.
In order to intercept these signals from God we need to be tuned in. Faith is the means by which we receive from God! Faith is our spiritual receiver!
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:1-3 KJV
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  Hebrews 11:6 KJV
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:8-17 KJV
In order to become efficient receivers we first of all need to be in working condition. It’s pointless to be in enemy territory attempting to transmit with broken or faulty equipment.
We need the right equipment,
We need to be plugged in and powered up.
We need to be tuned in
Do we have the right equipment to make and maintain contact with Him? That contact is the difference between life and death, victory and defeat, joy or sorrow. Revelation comes with the Word received in faith! Paul and Silas were connected! Joy comes in the morning for that's when there is light. That's when revelation comes because of the light! Light reveals and the entrance of the word brings light! Therefore the entrance of the word results in revelation. The entrance of the word is only realized by faith! The unseen influences the seen!
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  Psalms 119:105 KJV
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.  Psalms 119:130 KJV
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  2 Peter 1:19 KJV
Remember! You may have all the tools, toys and gadgets galore, both electronic and electrical. You may maintain them in perfect working order! You may know everything there is to know about how to take care of them look after them and operate them. You may keep them in the best of condition and fully operational. If they are not plugged in, switched on and tuned in, they’re all just useless junk! Pretty junk, but useless! Pretty useless!

THE MOUNTAINS TO COMMUNICATION

Can you hear me now?
There is constant transmission when the word of God is preached. You can be surrounded with these waves of God any yet not receive because you are not tuned in. Your receiver can be in perfect working order and plugged in but you also need to be tuned in.
When the word is not mixed with faith we are unable to receive it.
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.  Hebrews 4:2 KJV

Mountains are notorious blockade to radio waves! In the spiritual realm we also have obstacles to proper reception.

Traditional mountains
To communicate with someone both of you must speak the same language. What may seem like you're speaking the same language as God may not really be. To find out if you are speaking the same language you need to find out what His language is. The best way to find this out is to examine His word! Now we know that He does not change! He remains steadfast, the same! Therefore the next thing to do is to examine and check where our language differs from His and begin making adjustments. Oh I know you may have been a long time speaking the way you do and do not think you ought to change! But has it connected you to His outpouring? Has it been beneficial to you? Maybe we really need to reexamine where the changes need to be made.
Many of us are so preoccupied with transmitting that we forget about receiving! We're constantly "talking" but not listening!

Territorial mountains
Our position and placement many times determine our ability to receive.
There are certain spots known as dead spots where no waves are picked up. When we land in a dead spot in our lives we need to maneuver back into the zone of reception.
Many times and so often, we only yield to the built in defect that causes us to believe a lie, while we question the truth of the word being faithfully preached. We forget that there is an old sin nature that is being actively used by the enemy to make the evil appear good and good appear evil. This spiritual static can severely disrupt and interfere with our ability to properly receive from God.

Transmitting mountains
The enemy is aware of the power of the media, and has captured the minds of those in control. They believe they are in control, but are actually being used to control you, until you believe what you see and hear without bothering to check on the truth of it.
Doesn't it strike you as curious that we are willing to question everything the preacher and the Bible says but are willing to swallow wholesale every lie and filth spouted by the ungodly?
Doesn't it strike you as significant, that we are willing to deny the truth of the Word by our attitude and actions, when it contradicts and goes contrary to the ideologies we hold dear and subscribe to?
Do you not hear the warning bells any more, when you prefer to believe lies spouted through the mouths of the enemies mouthpieces, who can also quote scripture and pull a mask of false sheep's clothing over their wolfish nature? Evil indeed wears a handsome mask until it has you wrapped completely in its coils!

In almost every waking moment of our day we are influenced by input from various media, magazines and family, friends, relatives, peers, coaches, as well as bosses. Without us realizing it we are influenced in our imaginations by this input. It shapes our thoughts, feelings, reactions and responses. This needs to change so that we allow God and His Word to influence our imaginations instead.

Instead of allowing the influences of the world to shape our imaginations we need to resist this desperate assault to confirm us to the world and rather be transformed by the renewing of our minds through the ministry of the Spirit.

We have been moved from darkness into light! We have been moved from a place of ignorance to a place of revelation! Once we were blind but now we see! We need to remain in the light for it is only in the light that revelation is possible!
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  Romans 12:2 KJV

AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!

I have read many books on prayer including all E M Bounds books on the topic. Recently I read a book called “Unrelenting Prayer” by a man called Bob Sorge. Bob Sorge was a pastor and worship leader, who several years ago, suffered an accident to his throat. Can you think of anything more horrible happening to a preacher...and a worship leader?

However in the book "Unrelenting Prayer" Bob Sorge has given one of the best expositions of Luke 18:1-8:

"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" Luke 18:1-8 KJV

Below is how it spoke to me!

Here was a woman of Israel, a widow with no male to represent her so you can imagine her lot when she was faced with an adversary (probably a man) who wanted to take advantage of her now that she was a widow. In the Israel of that time she has no representative (we thank God for all our family and relatives who can rally by us with their faith and assistance) and so has to take matters into her own hands. To add insult to injury she has to approach an unjust judge as Jesus said, a judge who feared not God nor regarded man.

As far as we can see this widow’s case is doomed huh? But the widow refused to see it that way! She had only one recourse, and no other support or assistance was in her sight, so she took the only route open to her. She approached the unjust judge…who of course did not listen to her! So what does she do? Does she turn away defeated and throw up her hands in despair? Does she turn over lie down and die because no one cared?

NO absolutely NOT!

That judge simply did not know what he had just let himself in for! She camped on his doorstep, and cried every time she saw him “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

He would not listen!

She waylaid him in the streets “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

He would not listen!

She waited when he came out of his office “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

He studiously ignored her!

Next day she repeated the process all over “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

... and the next day…and the next…“AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

She just did not know how to give up or when to give up!

NO! She simply could NOT afford to give up!

Her attitude spoke loudly: If I die then I die but I will die trying for this is the ONLY venue open to me and I will work it for all it is worth… “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

I will knock on your door, I will rap at your window, I will cry after you in the street, I will follow you to the market place and back home.

I will continue to call on you to...

“AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”
Can you see her peering in at the restaurant window where the judge is sitting down to dinner with his wife?
“Yoo! Hoo! AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”  Can you hear the judge’s wife asking, “Who is that woman? Get rid of her!" All the unceasing cry is finally getting to the judge and he decides to do as the woman wanted “lest by her continual coming she weary me”!!!

Now comes the sweet part! Jesus said “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.” See the paradox? Though HE bear LONG with them yet HE will avenge them SPEEDILY!!! How can you bear LONG and yet do it SPEEDILY?

Then you picture the LORD on His throne hearing the cry from out of your heart, pouring from your lips, as in all your afflicted, storm tossed, pain filled being you are tearfully crying,  “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

… and He does not seem to hear! The heavens seem like brass and your voice rebounds back to you increasing your despair, discouragement, disappointment, disillusion, doubts, depression, as Satan mocks you and pours on the pressure.

What do you do then?

Do you give up?

Do you throw down weapons, lay down your tools, fold into yourself and roll over and die.

NO! NO! NO!

We do not! What do we do then?
We eyeball Satan with our fiercest look and turn right back to Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heaven’s door!
“AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

Let Satan laugh
“AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

Let the demons mock
“AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

Let the world smirk in skepticism
“AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

There is no other way, no other source, no other person but my Father in Heaven.

I will continue to ask “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

I will continue to seek “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

I will continue to knock “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

LORD I am still here! I am not leaving! “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

Hellooooo God! “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

Now I believe that if we are in God’s will and doing it His way He will continue to work on our behalf despite our condition.

I have mentioned many times, that regardless of what we are going through, the very fact that we are still alive means that God wills it to be so, and it means that He still has something for us to do, even if it is to learn something that can be passed on to our posterity!

He will only call you home when your task for Him is completed. So in the meantime LIVE! Fulfill HIS purpose!

While we have life and breathe within us, we continue to live for Him and breathe for Him, but we will also continue to cry “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

And what is God doing all this time?

He hears you and can you see Him ordering the angels to catch every tear that you shed as you cry “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

All your prayers are placed like precious incense into heavenly containers as you CEASELESSLY cry “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

Your cry is music to His ears for He loves you so MUCH!

… and then suddenly the cry strikes a responding chord and harmonizes with Heaven’s song!

…and the LORD who has borne long, so long with you rises from His throne with fire in His eyes, thunder in His Voice and wrath against your adversary radiating from His face, as he bends the firmament and steps out onto the clouds to fight on your behalf, for your cries have resounded and echoed through heaven as you unceasingly called “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

David says: In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth. There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire. The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire. Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them. Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils. He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me. They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.  Psalms 18:6-21 KJV

He has borne long with you, but now that He is moving on your behalf it happens SPEEDILY.

The enemy will not only be made to restore to you but also to make restitution.

So while it may seem as though there is no answer we have no other recourse but to keep crying “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

We will continue to cry “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!” until the Lord moves on our behalf, or until He calls us home.

But we will not cease crying! “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”

Like the president in the Independence Day movie said: We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on, we're going to survive!!!
We will not go quietly out into the night but will ceaselessly cry “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”
We will not vanish without a fight but will ceaselessly cry “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”
We're going to live on, we're going to survive and will ceaselessly cry “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”
We will not give up without a tooth and nails, lick down, dragged out, punch out, kicking and screaming fight “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”
We will fight like Billy Sunday said of sin "I’ll kick it as long as I’ve got a foot, and I’ll fight it as long as I’ve got a fist. I’ll butt it as long as I’ve got a head. I’ll bite it as long as I’ve got a tooth. And when I’m old and fistless and footless and toothless, I’ll gum it till I go home to Glory and it goes home to perdition!"
For we have within us, in this frail physical body eternity itself and we will not allow the frailty to control us, but will behave like the spirit creations in Christ that we are and we will cry continuously to our God “AVENGE ME OF MINE ADVERSARY!”
 And He will!
THE LORD WILL AVENGE US...SPEEDILY!!!

GET OUT OF THAT TENT AND INTO YOUR DREAM POSSIBILITIES!

After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. Genesis 15:1-7 KJV

We have often heard Abraham called the father of faith. He was called to walk in faith,
It was a long journey physically but it was also an eternal journey!
It was a journey into the physical unknown but into the eternal known!
It was a journey with physical people but a walk with the Eternal God!
He went out not knowing where he was going but he knew Who would take him there!
He was not interested in setting down a permanent foundation for he was looking for a city with foundations built by God
Abraham reached the sublime peak of faith where everything was surrendered to God even the son of God’s promise, Isaac! Before Abraham reached this peak of faith’s sublimity he had a lot of climbing to do and he stumbled a lot on the way. What is important however is that he kept on going despite his setbacks and stumbling! He never ceased to look for that which God had promised Him and he earned God’s commendation, being called the friend of God!
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.  James 2:23 KJV
Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?  2 Chronicles 20:7 KJV

We look at the beginning of Genesis 12:1-2 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
We find it says God had said! So we backtrack to Genesis 11 and find:
But Sarai was barren; she had no child. And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there. And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran. Genesis 11:30-32 KJV

So God had told Abraham to get out from country, kindred and father’s house for a long and lonely journey but Abraham took his father and nephew. Stephen clarified this for us: And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. Acts 7:2-4 KJV

As we look through Abraham’s life we find one constant. He believes God but still has to learn lessons along the way about the means, might and methods of God!

In Genesis 12 Abraham in trying to preserve his own life is willing to give away and pimp out Sarah. He was probably thinking that, after all God will make me a great nation and Sarah is barren. I love my wife but she may not be in the grand scheme of things so she may be dispensable! You think maybe?

Another question or two: Why did Abraham bring Lot with him? Did he knowing Sarah being barren think Lot may be the solution? Was it God who orchestrated the separation?
In Genesis 13:14-17 And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth:so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
So now Abraham is alone…or not!
In Genesis 15 we see Abraham again considering how the promise of God can be fulfilled. Now he presents Eliezer as the possible heir. Abraham was OK by day when he could look at the sand. But when the night came like it always comes he became hemmed in by the improbabilities of the flesh. God has to give him a new song specifically for the night time!
In Genesis 15:1-6 After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram:I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed:and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them:and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Have we considered the nature of conversation that may be taking place in the household of Abraham?
The attention given to the promise and how to fulfill it?
The logic of human reasoning in its efforts to find a solution?
The human brainstorming that can only find very human solutions?
The thought that, Hey maybe we need to give God a helping hand here! After all God helps those who helps themselves is what they say right?
In Genesis 16 Abraham gets sidetracked by a humanistic, fleshly idea. It seems like a good thing and after all God is surely taking a long time!
Thirteen years after the maid from Egypt episode God give Abraham a refresher course in faith and promises. God drops a bombshell! Abraham will have a son through SARAH!
You're kidding! Right God? That's a good one God! I'm 99 and Sarah who never bore a child is 90! Funny Lord! You crack me up!!!
Abraham pleads on Ishmael's behalf but no flesh will glory in God's presence. Our best efforts of the flesh fall far below the lowest of God's acts! Abraham has to get back to where he has total dependence on God alone! The promise is again projected to Abraham against all odds!
God told Abraham "Fuh REAL Abraham! It will happen. Sarah will get a son!"
Genesis 17:1-6 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face:and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
In Genesis 18 God appears again to Abraham with the promise! This time Sarah laughs then lies to God!
Genesis 18:9-15 KJV And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

Curiously enough in Genesis 20 Abraham repeats the brother sister act for Abimelech!
Finally in Genesis 21 Sarah is with child!
Over a quarter of a century after the first statement of promise it finally comes true, against all odds! Against all natural processes! Against all flesh! Against all appearances...God comes through!
Today we know Abraham's heritage was written in the stars and sculpted in the sands.
Can you see Abraham staring at the sand day after day and gazing at the stars night after night?
But how many of us like are like Abraham, lying in our tents thinking of the hopelessness of our circumstances? How many of us are considering the physical barriers that loom mountainously before us?
How many are staring in dismay at the seemingly insurmountable obstacles that are strewn along the path to our goals?
How many have ceased to dream and see the possibilities in the face of seeming impossibilities?
How many are yet in their tents of skins and have limited their vision to the boundaries of their tents?  What tents are blocking your dreams today??
You cannot see the vision of God when you are stuck inside your tent of unbelief, discouragement, and resignation to fate. Your line of sight is immensely restricted by the skin of the tent you reside in! Abraham had to exit his tent at God's command in order to see the grand design of God's will and promise to him. We can become very restricted by our own particular tents of "skin" and fail in our unbelief to grasp the magnitude of God's desire for us!

Romans 4:17-22 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even GOD, WHO QUICKENETH THE DEAD, AND CALLETH THOSE THINGS WHICH BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY WERE. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

It is a thought worth considering that Abraham might have had the promise of a seed fulfilled earlier if he had not try to "assist" God in His plans. God had to wait until there was no further physical hope or expectation so that the promise was truly that... the promise. We are not expected to think ahead of God! Indeed we cannot do that since we do not know the future except as He reveals. When God give us the word He does not change! It is our duty to let that word dwell in our hearts, enshrine it, meditate on it, dream on it, let it fill our imagination! Let’s remove the restrictions placed upon us by the skins of hindrance we develop. Many times we think we are so smart…so wise  because we think through the Word and find all the reasons why it cannot work, we find all the obstacles that will block it and we end up piling it on so much that we can no longer see the forest for the trees that get in the way. We have too many experts in "why it cannot HAPPEN " but too few believers in "GOD SAID IT!"

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.  James 1:22-25 KJV

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.  Matthew 26:41 KJV Jesus said this and it is important that we pay heed to it.
What are we to do? Watch and Pray!
Why are we to do this? That we enter not into temptation. Temptation to disbelieve! Temptation to excuse ourselves! Temptations to reason with worldly wisdom against God’s Word! Temptations to listen to reasons why not! We need to arm ourselves with this Word of Promise and run to God. Let Him fill our minds and imaginations with the miraculous of the impossibilities! For with Him NOTHING shall be impossible!!!

God forbid: yea, LET GOD BE TRUE, BUT EVERY MAN A LIAR; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:4 KJV
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, DECLARING THE END FROM THE BEGINING, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Isaiah 46:9-10 KJV
